Our company is passionate about promoting team leadership and providing a nurturing and supportive environment to the seniors we serve.  We believe that our people are our greatest asset.  We work hard to build the best teams by supporting their personal growth, professional development, and provide a culture of making a difference.  Seasons Living is seeking a strong customer-oriented and passionate Executive Director for Beach Terrace Memory Care located in Orange County, CA.  As the Executive Director of Beach Terrace Memory Care, you will direct day-to-day operations appropriate for a first-class senior living Community that ensures the health, safety, and satisfaction of all residents, families, and staff.  Responsibilities of an Executive Director The position includes overall management of the Community and accepting the final accountability for the following either directly or through designated staff: - Fiscal Management - Personnel Management - Resident Care-Services and Amenities - Occupancy Development, Public and Resident Relations - Plant and Community Maintenance Management - Regulatory Compliance Supervisory Responsibilities This position will directly supervise approximately 5-10 department managers in the following departments: Business Office, Sales, Health Services, Dining Services, Activities, Housekeeping, Maintenance and indirectly supervise all employees in the Community.   - Support, supervise and lead all staff for occupancy development. - Support, supervise and lead all department managers in recruiting, hiring, training and retaining appropriate staffing levels to support the needs of the Community. - Participate with Community managers in conducting the new hire orientations. - Prepare and conduct monthly staff meetings. - Team growth and motivation. - Exercise professional judgment and carefully adhere to all written standards, personnel administration policies and procedures.  Competitive wages with great opportunities to grow. This position requires creativity, flexibility, time management skills, and a knowledge base of the geriatric population who may have complex medical needs. The position will provide assistance to the Wellness Director.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities General management responsibilities include, but are not limited to overseeing and accepting the final accountability for the following either directly or through designated staff: - Responsible for fulfilling daily, weekly and monthly job checklist duties and other duties as needed. - Assess the health conditions and needs of the residents upon move in and when a change of condition indicates assessment. - In conjunction with the Wellness Director, establish the appropriate level of care for the resident, based on their care needs. - Ensure the resident safety needs are met, utilizing specific assessment and evaluation tools. - Become proficient at gathering and in-putting information into an electronic care/service plan system; Implement interim service plans as needed. - Ensure staff becomes familiar with changes in the resident’s care needs. - Serve as a liaison between the Community, family and resident when needed. - Communicate and coordinate with case managers, guardians, family members or regulators when resident’s safety is at risk. - Monitor the 24-hour communication and alert system for compliance; Appropriately and timely assess residents who have been put on alert status; Remove residents from alert after appropriate assessment of their condition. - Review all physician’s transcriptions, progress notes, discharge orders, move in orders, and hospital notes; update as necessary every 90 days. - Investigate incidents and behavior changes that require a License Nurse assessment; Document all incidents and changes in the resident’s progress notes. - Become knowledgeable of all state regulations governing assisted living communities. - Assist in writing service plans with the Resident Care Coordinator. - Perform nursing assessments as instructed by the Wellness Director.   Required Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent or minimum education required per state, higher education preferred in a related field - A current license in the state of employment. - Prefer a minimum of one (1) year prior nursing experience in a Senior Living Community or related business. - Must be able to speak English proficiently. - Training available for qualified candidates. About Sea View Senior Living is located in Brookings, OR. The Wellness Director assists with ensuring the quality of care of all residents. This position requires creativity, flexibility, time management skills, and a knowledge base of the geriatric population who may have complex medical needs. Pay: - Starting at $85,000 / year What We Offer: - $10,000 Sign On Bonus - Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance - 401(k) - Employee Referral Program - An additional telemedicine benefit free of charge - Earned wage access prior to paydays (restrictions do apply) - Competitive wages and opportunities to grow Essential Duties and Responsibilities General management responsibilities include, but are not limited to overseeing and accepting the final accountability for the following either directly or through designated staff: - Responsible for fulfilling daily, weekly, and monthly job checklist duties and other duties as needed. - Assist the Executive Director to ensure that policies, procedures, and state regulations are being followed. - Conduct internal quality assurance departmental audits. - Assess the health conditions and needs of the residents upon move in and when a change of condition indicates assessment. - In conjunction with the Program Manager/Executive Director, establish the appropriate level of care for the resident, based on their care needs. - Ensure the resident safety needs are met, utilizing specific assessment and evaluation tools. - Ensure routine resident assessments are met on a quarterly basis. - Participate in the development of the Plan of Care; Attend the Plan of Care meetings as indicated by Community policy or the resident’s medical condition. - Serve as a liaison between the Community, family and resident when needed. - Perform medication room and medication cart audits as needed. - Monitor the 24-hour communication and alert system for compliance; Appropriately and timely assess residents who have been put on alert status; Remove residents from alert after appropriate assessment of their condition. - Review all physician’s transcriptions, progress notes, discharge orders, move in orders, and hospital notes; update as necessary every 90 days. - Investigate incidents and behavior changes that require a License Nurse assessment; Document all incidents and changes in the resident’s progress notes. Required Experience: - A current RN license in the state of employment. - Prefer a minimum of one (1) year prior nursing experience in a Senior Living Community or related business. - High school diploma or equivalent or minimum education required per state, higher education preferred in a related field - Must be able to speak English proficiently. - Training available for qualified candidates. - All candidates must be able to pass a fingerprint/criminal background check and a comprehensive reference check.
